Answers on letters and everything else, postcards, voice letters, time capsules, importing mail, passkeys and billing. Our Honolulu team replies within a day.
How Lekamail decides what’s a letter
A letter is anything written by a person, to you. We look at who sent it, how it was sent and whether it came through a mailing system. We never look at what it says.
Tap “Not a letter” or “This is a letter” on any message and we’ll remember it for that sender from then on. You can review every rule you’ve made in Settings → Letters.
Where did my receipts go?
Into Everything else, sorted into Receipts, Updates and Read later. Nothing is deleted, and nothing there ever sends you a notification.
Open it from the sidebar, or search as usual: search always covers both your letters and everything else.
Security alerts and one-time codes
Sign-in codes, password resets and security alerts are marked Needs attention. They appear at the top of Everything else and show a quiet badge in the sidebar, so you never have to hunt for a code.
They clear themselves after 24 hours so they don’t pile up.
How tracker blocking works
Many newsletters hide a tiny invisible image that tells the sender when, where and how often you opened their email. We remove these before a message opens.
Images you actually want still load. Where we removed a tracker, you’ll see a small shield on the message.
Send a postcard
Tap New postcard, pick a photo, write a couple of lines and choose who it’s for. It arrives as a card with your stamp, in any inbox.
Postcards to people outside Lekamail include a private link to the full-size photo, which you can switch off at any time from the sent postcard.
Record a voice letter
In the composer, tap the microphone. Talk for up to 2 minutes on Postcard, or 10 minutes on Letter and Parcel.
We add a transcript automatically, and you can edit it before sending. Recipients can play it in any browser, no app needed.
Change your stamp
Your stamp appears on every postcard and letter you send. Go to Settings → Stamp and pick from Coral, Lagoon, Sky, Hibiscus or Plumeria.
The new stamp is used from your next message; anything already sent keeps the stamp it left with.
How time capsules are delivered
Pick a date up to 25 years away. We seal the letter and deliver it on the morning of that day, in the recipient’s time zone.
If the recipient changes address, they can claim it later with the capsule code we send them today.
Can I open or change a time capsule?
You can edit or cancel a capsule until 24 hours before delivery. After that it stays sealed, even for you.
Add photos, a voice letter or a postcard to a capsule and they’re sealed together.
Name a trusted contact for your capsules
Capsules are delivered even if your account becomes inactive. In Settings → Capsules you can name a trusted contact who can cancel them on your behalf.
Your trusted contact never sees what’s inside a capsule, only who it’s for and when it arrives.
Import mail from Gmail, Outlook or iCloud
Go to Settings → Import, choose your old provider and sign in. We copy your mail, contacts and folders in the background. Most mailboxes finish in under an hour.
Turn on forwarding at your old provider so letters sent to your old address still find you. Forwarded mail is labelled with the address it was sent to.
Use Lekamail on your phone and computer
Lekamail works in any modern browser, and you can add it to your home screen on iPhone and Android for a full-screen app.
Prefer Apple Mail, Outlook or Thunderbird? Settings → Other apps gives you the exact settings to copy, and your letters and everything else show up as separate folders.
Use your own domain
On Letter and Parcel, go to Settings → Domains → Add domain. We show you the exact records to add at your domain provider and check them for you as you go.
Most domains are ready within 15 minutes. Your @lekamail.com address keeps working alongside it.
Set up a passkey
Go to Settings → Security → Passkeys → Add passkey. Your device will ask for Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello or a security key.
After that you can sign in with your address and the passkey alone. Add one on each device you use.
Reset a forgotten password
On the sign-in page, tap “Forgot?” and enter your Lekamail address. We send a reset link to your recovery email. It works for 30 minutes.
No recovery email on file? Write to hello@lekamail.com from any address and we’ll confirm it’s you another way.
Choose or move your data region
When you sign up you choose where your mail lives: the United States (Oregon) or the European Union (Frankfurt).
You can move regions any time in Settings → Privacy. The move runs in the background and your address never changes.
Export or delete everything
Settings → Privacy → Export gives you all your mail as MBOX, contacts as vCard and capsules as a sealed archive.
Closing your account deletes your mail within 30 days. Sealed capsules are still delivered unless you cancel them first.
Change or cancel your plan
Go to Settings → Plan. Upgrades apply right away. Downgrades and cancellations apply at the end of the period you’ve paid for.
Yearly plans cancelled within 14 days are refunded in full.
Invite people to your Parcel plan
Go to Settings → Family → Invite. Each person gets their own private address and letterbox, and nobody can see anyone else’s mail.
Remove someone and they keep their address on the free Postcard plan, with every letter intact.
Find your invoices
Every invoice is in Settings → Plan → Invoices, ready to download as PDF. We also email a copy after each payment.
Need your company name or tax number on an invoice? Add it under Billing details and it appears on the next one.
